Good Times Cosmo Cricket Snorkel Board Book

Ryan recently went to the Port Townsend marine center for a field trip.He begged and begged to take his dads new camara with him to take pictures.Against my better judgment his dad said yes.I should never have protested because I am so thankful for the wonderful pictures he took.I am so proud of him.I wanted to make him his own book and this paper just fit perfect.I used a maya road tab book and the 4x6 pictures fit so good on it.Ryan helped come up with the title and I left the journaling areas blank so he can fill them in.I used Martha Stewart microbeads for the title they are so fun they are my new favorite thing.I also used them inside to embellish :)

I just love this line of paper!!! I have had it for awhile wanting so bad to use it. I saw a really great page on Cosmo Crickets fan page on facebook and was inspired. Mine is not as cute as the one I saw. I love how the tree turned out and the little birds :) This picture of Riley is one of my favorites. McKenna took this of him. I just cant believe how sweet it turned out.She is always taking pictures and I don't even know what she has taken until I load my memory card onto the computer. Such sweet little surprises I get :)

The Bike

Family fun festival was this weekend. The kids look forward to this fun event every year.We had fun visiting all the rooms. In the gym they always have a raffle and silent auction we all put or tickets in different things and hoped for a win.McKenna was so in love with this pretty pink bike with a Hannah Montana helmet. She had talked about it the days before. She had helped get ready for the auction on Friday and had taken the helmet up to the stage where they were setting all the items in preparation for Saturdays event. So to no ones surprise she wanted to put her ticket in that bag.I had no idea she was going to put all fourteen of them in.So we leave the festival and go to lunch at our favorite Mexican restaurant. I was really enjoying this time together since we rarely have family days. I work the weekends when everyone else is home but this Saturday I was home really early. As we where waiting for our food McKenna starts saying "oh I sure hope I win that bike,I put all my tickets in for it.I want it so bad" just as she finishes telling us all this we get a phone call saying she won !!! The look on her face is forever burned in my head. She was so excited!!!! you could see she wanted to cry but didn't understand why.She of course was so excited to go get the bike she was all the sudden not very hungry and didn't even want her Shirley temple she looks so forward to. I am so thankful for this sweet moment with her that she and I will never forget.I am always reminded that its theses moments that make my life so great.

I need to be more thankful...

Just read http://nieniedialogues.blogspot.com/2010/01/new-list-and-my-comeback.html I cried and prayed and cried and prayed some more. I felt like I need to be more grateful for everything my life has provided. The past few days have been hard not for me but for people I love and like :) I see so much hurt around me why is this?

I need to greet each day with the thankfulness it deserves. I take so much for granted.

So this is what my bed looks like today on laundry day at the Kelbel house. Although this is overwhelming and i will have to do it all again in 2 days. I am thankful for each piece of clothing I have to fold and put away.Because each pile represents a person and I am so thankful for each one of them. I am thankful I am healthy enough to do this chore. I am thankful for my old uncomfortable bed.As I read Stephine's blog I realize that its hard for her right now to do the simple things and she would love to be able to fold laundry with out pain. She is a amazing person and I admire her strength and faith.

Friend word book for silent auction Basic Grey Wisteria collection

I made this book for a silent auction for a sweet lady and her family. She is a friend of a dear friend of mine and has terminal cancer. They are having a benefit dinner and auction and I thought I would try to make something for it.I cant say I enjoyed making this. I don't really know the correct feelings I felt really.Maybe a bit of sadness for the people that have been touched by this woman .I do not know her personally I just have met her.I am hoping a friend of hers will be able to take this album home and fill it with memories and pictures of Tammy.I hope in some way I can bless someone when they need it.I made this book with basic Grey paper the wisteria collection and a bo bunny word book.I do love how soft and sweet it turned out.

Basic Grey Sugar Rush Page Kit

I just love the way this went together.Basic Grey makes these page kits and they are so easy to follow. I learn a new technique every time I make something from them. The thing I loved from this is making the leaves .Punch out a heart shape or cut I just folded a piece of paper in half like in grade school and cut a heart.lightly cut into the top split of the heart.over lap the rounded petals of the heart so that it starts to make a leaf shape. then i kind of scrunched it on the page under the flowers super easy.this was a kit made by basic Grey so i can't take credit for the design but i sure think its cute of McKenna and her expressions I can take credit for my cute girl :).

Instant book with Pink Paislee Cupid Collection

I made this super fast and easy instant book from a tutorial from hero arts http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WaP3vXiioJk I loved how easy this was. I cant believe it is just one piece of paper. It was a really nice way to use up my leftover embellishments from the page I did using pink paislee. I have not finished all the Journaling I will fill the empty areas with some thoughts about me sweet kids.I need to make another because I didn't include all eight children and they will feel bad :)
